The season of Advent is approaching its climax, the day of Jesus entering into our world – soon it will be Christmas Day. It is hard to overstate the wonders, the glories and the impact that Jesus’ incarnation has upon our lives.
Jesus enters our world unrecognized by most, ignored by others and rejected by many. Yet, he comes as the Lamb of God, the Son of God, the Mediator for Us, The One Who is First, Our Savior, and Our King. For those of us who receive Jesus, his coming changes everything, opening up life for us now and forever. A greater change isn’t possible; Jesus our Savior comes for our redemption.
It’s why we celebrate Christmas – the activities, the food, the decorations, the special times of worship – for it all points to Jesus born as God’s King. He has now taken on flesh so that we might find life in his name.
CELEBRATE heartily, REJOICE loudly, and WORSHIP deeply – for JESUS’ BIRTH is the GOOD NEWS of great JOY for those who BELIEVE!
